“From Indicators to Counterfactuals”: Summer School on Quantitative Methods for Evaluating the Impact of Structural Funds

The summer school is intended for both practicing evaluators and the staff in the managing authorities who decide to launch impact evaluations, design terms of reference and manage the studies. Applicants should provide evidence of professional involvement with evaluation activities, should possess a good command of English and basic knowledge of statistics. The maximum number of participants admitted will be 40.

The school will be held in the Pracatinat resort situated on the mountain range near Torino, in the area that hosted the 2006 Olympic Winter Games. Transportation will be provided from Torino’s airport, railways station and shuttle from Milano’s airports. Applications must be received by May 24th 2010 and admissions will be decided by June 10th and notified by email. Admitted participants should pay the all-inclusive fee of €1300 by July 1st in order to confirm their participation.
